Welcome to the homepage of Mahopé. We are a world-class team of infrastructure and security consultants located in Southern California (but with clients world wide) that have served clients like Sony, UltraDNS, Cisco and other Fortune 1000 customers.
We specialize in providing "Outsourced CTO" services to our customers. CTO's are expensive and you often don't need a full time employee. You need a "goto" person to help with strategic technical direction and vision. That is what we specialize in and provide to our clients.
We specialize in high-volume internet system and network design and development, as well as doing things "the right way". Too often companies throw money at a solution instead of building the solution to scale and be secure from the start. That is where we come in. It's our mission to build/design the solution properly from the beginning. It's our creed and motto.

Scalability/Security is planned for at four levels:
- Application - If your application is not designed FROM THE START to be secure, scalable and reliable, it will be extremely difficult to deal with it when the site starts to get more and more popular.
- Database - People often ask us "Can you come in and make our database faster?". Nine times out of ten, the problem isn't the database server, it's the application and the queries the developers use to interact with the database.
- Servers - Are your servers properly configured? Are they locked down for security holes? Are you even running a server operating system? (You would be amazed how many companies run their applications on Fedora Core 1 etc.)
- Network - Can you handle a 10x increase in traffic? Can your upstream provider?
